Audrey-Ann Dumont has built a distinguished career in international taxation, marked by leadership roles and recognized expertise in the financial and legal sectors. Her career began at Desjardins, where, as an accounting intern, she honed her skills in internal controls and financial document analysis. This experience laid the foundation for her deep understanding of accounting and tax standards.
She then joined iA Financial Group, where she continued to develop her accounting expertise during a summer internship. The focus on financial analysis and internal controls during this period was crucial for her training in taxation. Her academic journey is equally impressive, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences from Universite du Quebec a Rimouski, where she earned her CPA designation, followed by a Master’s degree in Accounting.
Her transition to a career in tax law was solidified by her admission to HEC Montreal, where she obtained an LL.M. in Tax Law, specializing in international and U.S. taxation. This degree not only strengthened her theoretical knowledge but also prepared her for more complex challenges.
Her role at PwC as a Senior Associate in Taxation marked a turning point, allowing her to handle complex tax issues and advise clients on optimal tax strategies. Her expertise was recognized not only locally but also sought for projects involving international regulations, demonstrating her ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
The pinnacle of her career to date is her current role at Lune Rouge, where she has served as Director of Taxation since 2020. In this position, she leads the company’s tax strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while meeting international regulatory standards. Her responsibilities include managing strategic tax planning, compliance, and advising on mergers and acquisitions, requiring a keen understanding of global tax laws and adaptability to changing economic and legislative dynamics.
Her leadership is also evident in her interactions with executive, finance, and legal departments, where she adds value by providing insights into the tax implications of business decisions.
